Night Under Fire

Night under fire is the single largest race day in America! It is by far Gutierrez Brothers Racing favorite event of the year and we are always honored to be apart of it. For the fans it is the event of a lifetime and getting to watch two top alcohol dragsters go against each other all day is amazing! Gutierrez Brothers Racing is always up against the “other brothers” Michalek Brothers Racing with their A/fuel dragster.

Bill Bader loves to put on a good show and throwing in a Michigan vs Ohio race is a great way to do it. Both teams did a great job making every pass clean and neck and neck every time! GBR was able to get the win in the qualifying pass which let them pick their lane with a 5.43 second pass. The last and final pass is always at night under the lights which GBR loves but so does the fans! Since it always is a show JP does a half track burnout in the dark and then backs up to take on MBR one more time.

With a 5.45 second pass unfortunately MBR takes the win with a 5.43 second pass. GBR has been fighting an electrical gremlin all weekend and the car just didn’t have enough to keep ahead. As always GBR is proud to be a part of such a prestigious event. The next outing will be US Nationals Labor Day weekend in Indianapolis.
