Back At Norwalk

For the second weekend in a row Gutierrez Brothers Racing (GBR) was attending a race at Summit Motorsports Park. NHRA Norwalk National event is always a big race! There are lots of cars coming from across America to race for the Ice Cream Scoop trophy. GBR was coming into the race a little less excited than normal due to the events that happened the weekend before but they were ready to give it their all.

During their three qualifying passes GBR was able to make two clean passes that put them 15th with 5.331 at 264.65 mph. They were up against number 2 qualifier Shawn Cowie for round one of elimiations. JP had the starting line advantage but Cowie chased him down just past half track and took the win. A 5.222 vs a 5.348!

With IHRA cancelling the race at Milan, MI, GBR now has some extra time at the shop. The team will use the break to go through the dragster, tighten up their tune up, and inspect their parts to make sure everything is ready for the next event. Which just so happens to be back at Summit Motorsports Park for their highly anticipated Night Under Fire event! The team is looking forward to getting back on the track and put on a great show for the crowd!
